Excellent choice for school groups of all abilities. Fantastic value and quality with an exceptional range of après ski facilities.
Bad Kleinkirchheim or more popularly BKK, is a thermal spa resort and is also the home of Austrian ski legend Franz Klammer, who made his reputation here and latterly designed the world cup downhill course. School groups can expect a traditional, warm and friendly Carinthian welcome.
The skiing spreads over 2 connected areas - BKK and St Oswald. Both areas have good village nursery slopes and numerous wide runs providing excellent progression for beginner groups. Our groups tend to start in St Oswald which has some gentle, cruising runs including a long, looping blue from the top of the mountain right to the valley floor.
Intermediate skiers will love it here as over 75% of the runs are blues or reds. The more testing skiing is on the BKK side, where good intermediates and advanced skiers will enjoy exciting, long reds through the trees, a couple of testing blacks and the famous world cup downhill, which is a must-do for intermediates by the end of the week. It is a long, beautiful and testing run with a series of camel humps that are great fun! Snowboarders can improve their skills at the Crazy Carving snowboard school.
There are plenty of après ski and non-ski activities to keep everyone busy in BKK. St Oswald is a quiet hamlet but school groups can use their coach for travelling to BKK.
