Neukirchen Austria

Neukirchen is an unbelievably pretty village lying between Mittersill and the Gerlos Pass and is part of the Grossvenediger region; it’s very Austrian, traditional and friendly.

The main lift station is in the centre of the village and this takes you up to some wonderful wide open pistes, many of them blue and not too difficult for anyone to manage. There are one or two reds for good measure and a tricky black run for those more adventurous skiers. Don’t be fooled into thinking that this is for novices only since there’s plenty of meaty “stuff” for everyone and with all that Neukirchen has to offer in addition this is a truly lovely resort, well worth considering. With a drop of 1300m the pistes are long and challenging.
