Coach Travel

Coach travel is convenient and supervision is easy. The journey is by motorway virtually door to door. You leave school in the afternoon or evening, then overnight on uncrowded autoroutes to your resort. There's plenty of refreshment stops and the reclining seats mean you can get some sleep. Your coach stays with you for the full week to carry out all your transfers and excursions. With the agreement of the ski school, you can start skiing from a different lift if you wish.

Your Drivers
All drivers are fully aware of their responsibilities and of the special nature of school travel. There will always be two drivers for the journey, and of course all our ski courses operate within the current European regulations relating to drivers’ hours.

Double Deckers
We no longer recommend double-deck coaches because of their increasing rarity, age and potential unreliability as well as limited baggage space. We can sometimes supply them but if they need to be replaced due to breakdown or any other problem, any extra costs of replacing a double-deck vehicle with two single-deck vehicles will be charged.

Coach WC's
These are intended for emergency use only and we strongly recommend that motorway facilities are used instead. There will be frequent stops en-route.

Crossing The Channel
We work with all the cross channel companies. P&O Ferries and Sea France take 75-90mins from Dover to Calais, and provide a welcome break to stretch legs and do a little shopping. All prices are based on ferry crossings from Dover to Calais. If you wish to travel by Eurotunnel a supplement may be payable. Please enquire. The Eurotunnel embarks north of Folkestone and disembarks south of Calais only 35mins later.
Please note that this service may carry a supplement. We always apply for crossing times to suit you best but can’t confirm until timetables are available.

Your Coach Itinerary
Every itinerary is tailored individually and the journey varies according to resort choice. France and the Italian Piemonte are about 12-13hrs from Calais, Austria 14-15hrs and the Dolomites 17-18hrs.
Day 1: Leave school in the afternoon and cross the channel in the late evening. Continue overnight.
Day 2: Arrive at your hotel early afternoon. Plenty of time to check-in and relax before ski fit. Your first inclusive meal is dinner.
Day 3-8: 6 days skiing in your chosen resort. Your coach is available for transfers to the slopes, excursions or shopping expeditions.
Day 8: Check-out of the hotel before you start your last day’s skiing. All our hotels have a luggage store and a few have rooms for showering and changing. You commence your return journey after dinner and ski presentation (subject to drivers’ hours), or occasionally with packed dinner.
Day 9: Cross the channel in the morning and continue to school.
