Ski Resorts

Europe

Europe has perhaps the widest range of ski resorts and destinations in the world, and is the first choice for most UK school groups due to its proximity and spectacular scenery

Equity handpick all resorts for their suitability to UK school groups: the size of the ski area, the difficulty of the skiing, quality and location of our accommodation, distance from the UK or major airports and the range of evening activities are all considered to ensure we offer the complete package for your group. Known as ‘The Italian Experts’, Equity  have been operating ski trips to Italy for over 20 years, providing a huge depth of resort knowledge and an unrivalled range of resorts to offer, both in the Alps close to the French border and the Dolomites. Our French range encompasses two mountain ranges – the Alps and the Pyrenees. The cornerstone of our French programme is our ClubHotel range – five outstanding properties in leading French resorts, exclusively run for UK schools.

Canada

Multi-cultural and liberal, Canada is certainly a country of contrast and surprises. The world’s second largest country by total area also possesses the longest coastline and shares the longest land border with its American neighbours.

The northern Canadian Arctic is home to the world’s most northerly settlement and is covered in ice and perma-frost, whilst temperatures in the south can reach as high as 40°C during the summer months.

Canada has two main languages, Canadian English and Canadian French, and actively promotes diversity – it has one of the world’s highest immigration rates, and also enjoys a very high standard of living.

Skiing in Canada offers a real sense of wilderness, wherever you are – partly due to the sheer scale of the country, and partly due to the spectacular locations and views.

Canada certainly offers a wide range of scenery, from arctic tundra, vast pine forests and glacial mountains to great waterways, colossal lakes and vast prairies. It also and boasts true wild-life – you might not spot humpback whales or grizzly and polar bear on your trip, but there’s a reasonable chance you might see moose, or hear wolves!

Ski here and you’ll surely understand why so many Canadians embrace nature, and treat the outdoors as such a special place.

USA

Genuine, friendly hospitality everywhere you go and the lack of a language barrier are the first indications that things here are done differently, and that feeling continues throughout your trip.

Perhaps the most remarkable differences can be seen on the slopes – by and large USA resorts are far quieter than those in Europe, meaning no lift-queues and more time actually skiing. Tuition is exceptional with friendly instructors delivering fun and engaging lessons designed to get the best out of every skier, whatever their ability.

Even the snow is different, from the ‘corduroy’ glade skiing in the East to the ‘champagne powder’ of the Rockies. Trailgrooming in America is practically an art-form, and our resorts all benefit from plentiful snowfall and state-of-the-art snowmaking machines to ensure great conditions throughout the season.

Hotels offer an outstanding level of comfort and facilities for groups, and of course the food is not only delicious, but plentiful. Add to this a legal drinking age of 21, truly awesome shopping, favourable exchange rates and the option of finishing your trip with a fantastic city stopover, you can see why the USA is becoming evermore popular for UK school groups.

Our USA tours are tailor-made to your specifications, and our all-inclusive prices offer excellent value for money. Contact us today, and let us help plan your school’s trip of a lifetime.

City Stopovers

A city stopover is the ideal way to complete your week. Stopovers are proven to increase your group size, and with six fantastic destinations on offer, it’s easy to see why! Choose from New York, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Denver.

Snowsports Tuition

Snowsports tuition is available for all abilities, for both skiing and snowboarding*, with qualified instructors. Beginners will thrive in the small group environment whilst advanced skiers can benefit from organised race training and off-piste tuition. Speak to us when booking to discuss your requirements further.

* there may be an additional cost for snowboarding, please contact us for further information
