Tignes

Tignes

Overview

Peak Season from
£919
by coach

Tignes has been one of France’s favourite ski resorts for decades, offering high-altitude skiing, the vast ski circuit of Espace Killy and access to the prestigious Val d’Isère. School skiing groups really benefit from this purpose built, high altitude resort - there’s a fantastic snow record and a highly efficient lift system.

There are wide nursery areas at the bottom of the slopes where beginners can practice in a secure environment and gradually progress up the mountain, whilst intermediates will enjoy the sense of journey as they explore the four main areas in resort – La Grande Motte Massif, La Palet, Le Toviere and Les Brévières/ L’Aiguille Percée. Finally, advanced skiers are well catered for with very challenging blacks, a host of moguls and the 1992 Olympic downhill run.

Tignes is a purpose-built resort and has been designed to be practical and convenient. The resort itself is divided into several smaller villages, each with their own character. Val Claret is the highest part of resort at the foot of the glacier, and Val d’Isère has several cafes and restaurants.

Our hotel is in Tignes Le Lac. This lively area has plenty of shops and restaurants plus a sports centre for evening activities including a swimming pool with waterslides. It also has runs into the village making it an extremely convenient choice for skiers.
