School ski holidays in Skiwelt
Excellent all-round resort on Austria’s largest ski circus – very popular choice with British groups.
Set in spectacular scenery between the Wilder Kaiser mountain range and the Kitzbühler Alps, the Ski Welt offers a huge variety of skiing and is a firm favourite with British school parties. This is Austria’s largest single area and comprises of nine interconnected villages each offering traditional hospitality, dramatic scenery and skiing to suit all abilities. There is a massive 250km of piste to enjoy with many wide, treelined green and blue runs to choose from and both beginners and intermediates will find this a perfect place to play.
Our groups tend to stay in Söll which is centrally located in the area and offers some of the most diverse skiing making it a very popular destination. Söll is overlooked by the Hohe Salve, an impressive dome shaped peak, which is the highest point in the area and has the most demanding ski terrain. For beginners there are extensive nursery slopes above the village and novices will enjoy the easy-going, fun approach of the excellent ski school. More advanced skiers can take the 8 seater gondola which ascends to Hochsoll where high speed chairs offer a wide variety of possibilities as well as long scenic runs down to the village itself. With its open blue and red runs Soll is perfect for intermediate skiers wishing to gain confidence.
Intermediate skiers will find plenty of scope with a wonderful range of skiing. The resort also has a terrain park beneath the Penzing chair and a halfpipe at Eichenhof.
Advanced skiers will be more than happy with the amazing choice of long, well maintained slopes on the circuit. The back of the Hohe Salve boasts several hairraising blacks plus exciting off piste to really test the expert! The lift system in Söll has been greatly improved over recent years and access is now easy to the rest of the system. The snow record is good here and everyone will enjoy the impressive backdrop of the majestic mountain scenery.
Söll itself has an attractive village centre with traditional Tyrolean buildings. There is a wealth of activities on offer for groups and it is famous for its energetic and varied après ski. Overall this is a fantastic choice for our groups and we are sure it will become very popular amongst Equity clients.
