School ski holidays in Albiez Montrond
Pretty mountain village with good local skiing, a range of aprés ski activities and links to the Sybelles ski area.
The charming mountain villages of Albiez Montrond and Albiez-le-Jeune are perched on an open plateau at the foot of the Aiguilles d'Arves. Albiez Montrond, in the heart of the Maurian Massif, is a winter sports centre where you can soak up the beauty of the surroundings and enjoy the large range of sports and recreational activities on offer. In addition to the 50kms of local skiing there is also 50kms of cross country skiing as well as snowshoe hiking.
The local skiing has something for all abilities but is particularly suited to beginners with some nice, gentle runs to help novices master their first turns.
In addition to the local skiing Albiez Montrond is actually part of the ski domain of the Sybelles which offers over 310km of marked pistes. We include the local lift pass in our package but you also have the possibility of buying the extension to the Sybelles. This extension pass allows you to ski in Le Corbier, St Sorlin and La Toussuire. Access to this part of the Sybelles is just 12km away on a coach transfer.
The snow is guaranteed on some slopes with snow cannon facilities. This is definitely a family and beginners' resort. Supervision of the children is very easy and the resort also offers plenty of activities for après skiing. There is snow-walking with the local ski school, dog sledding and even luge runs or paragliding for the brave. Local entertainments and events are organised especially for children during the high season and the chapels in the valley are well worth a visit
