School ski holidays in La Polsa

A fantastic choice for schools. Short transfer, purpose-built convenience, great beginners slopes, snowboard parks and good après ski activities.

Only an hour or so after leaving Verona, the road starts to climb up the vine terracing to the ski station of La Polsa, perched on a ledge, with ski slopes above and a wide valley below. Its superb balcony setting and panoramic views make La Polsa popular with sightseers as well as skiers.

Although purpose-built, you wouldn't know it, because La Polsa is a pleasant little resort with everything built on the human scale. It's a fantastic choice for schools. Beginners and children are particularly well catered for on safe, wide, open snowfields. It's convenient too. There's a beginners drag and nursery slope right outside our hotel and long, blue runs back to resort which are perfect for practising snow ploughs and stem turns.

Intermediates enjoy the red runs at the top and there's a connection to San Valentino via a long, single chair. The skiing here is more difficult, so progression is good for developing intermediates.

We have been pleased to see the lift company investing significantly over the past few years. New lifts, a snowboard park, skating rink and high pressure snow cannons have all been added. The village has also introduced snow games and other entertainments for children
