Kirkwood, home of America's deepest snow (they received an incredible 65 ft of snow in 2004/05), and only 40 minutes from our hotels in South Lake Tahoe, boasts an incredible variety of terrain to suit all abilities of skier or boarder.
Over the past few years the resort has undergone some terrific expansion, cutting new trails, upgrading their lift system and developing a lively resort village at the foot of the mountain including some great outdoor activities such as an ice skating rink and 'Slide Mountain' snow tubing hill. At a base elevation of 7800 ft it's no wonder the skiing's great! With a nationally recognised beginners area, long and fun blue cruisers for intermediates, and unparalleled expert terrain, Kirkwood has it all including crowd-free slopes!
