Excellent variety of terrain on four different mountain faces and good value accommodation.
Set in the magnificent Green Mountain National Forest in the State of Vermont and just over 3 hours drive to Boston and 4 hours from "the Big Apple", Mount Snow has a fantastic location. It also offers an excellent variety of skiing over an incredible 104 trails beginning close to our hotels in the village, which means less time travelling and more time skiing! The traditional Vermont village is compact with everything in easy reach.
Our hotels are all close to the skiing and offer high standards and excellent facilities: The Snow Lake Lodge and The Lodge at Mount Snow, both traditional country inns and only a 5 minute shuttle ride from the mountain.
From the base lodge, where you will be met by the experienced team of friendly instructors, the skiing spreads out over 4 different but wellconnected mountain areas with an excellent variety of terrain to suit all levels of skier or boarder.
Beginners are particularly well looked after with a dedicated beginners area with its own lifts. There is even a 2-mile green run that goes from the summit right down to the base, which means by the end of the week, everyone in the group should be able to say "I skied from top to bottom!"
For intermediates there are many 100-yard wide confidence-building blue trails to be discovered and for the more advanced skiers in the group, there are some really challenging black diamond trails such as one of the steepest slopes in the whole of New England - the double-black "Ripcord". Snowboarders are superbly catered for, with four separate terrain parks to choose from including "Un Blanco Gulch" the first ever park to be built in the east, "Grommet", the resort’s teaching park and "The Gut", a competition superpipe!
