The ClubHotel Riegler is an ever popular choice each season. The location is ideal for schools as it’s just a short walk to central Saalbach and only one minute on the skibus to the Schattberg gondola which is the main access point to the slopes. There is also a ski and boot store (about €15 per week) available at the gondola which makes it easy for school groups wishing to walk. It’s best to start the day from Schattberg but there are plenty of other buses to other parts of the system that stop close to the hotel. Groups can also take the Noddy Train directly to the ski school.
The Riegler has great views of the north-facing slopes of the Schattberg mountain and schools will enjoy the facilities on offer. Most of the public areas are located on the first floor including the welcoming bar/lounge area which has a pleasant ambience and Sky TV. There’s also a large reception with internet access point and a sauna for teachers.
All of the bedrooms have private facilities and most have a balcony. They are nicely decorated and comfortable.
Overall we highly recommend this excellent ClubHotel, which operates with our customary attention to detail, superb personal service and good food.
