Zauchensee is the highest part of the Salzburger Sportwelt area of Amadé, which alone covers an incredible 350km of slopes.
Zauchensee has a renowned reputation for producing more ski stars than anywhere else in Austria including World Cup and Olympic champion Michael Walchhofer. It’s a great place for groups to learn as there are an abundance of blue and red runs so progression here tends to be fast. As one of the highest points of the area the snow conditions here are usually fantastic.
