Just an hour from Grenoble, Chamrousse is a little known gem of a resort with stunning views, quiet pistes and a wide variety of slopes for all abilities.

The well laid out ski domain offers a large number of easy and intermediate slopes to allow for excellent progression over the week. beginners can progress from the nursery slopes in resort onto some easy greens on the Arselle plateau. Les Cretes and Les Ours for example provide long progression runs with the added bonus of spectacular view of the surrounding landscape.
The ski area is split into two main areas with one side of the mountain allowing easier skiing and the other side of the mountain offering more challenging, steeper runs that more advanced skiers look for. Intermediates can access both from the chairlifts at Roche Beranger and can move from the easier to more difficult runs as the day progresses.
The steep terrain above Le Recoin has seven black runs, one of them the famous 1968 Olympics's Men Downhill course on which Jean-Claude Killy won gold!
Chamrousse has a terrain park, half pipe and boardercross course.
