Skiers are based at the purpose built hamlet of Doucy which is built on the on the edge of the slopes and respects the traditional style of chalet buildings around the main square.
Although small, there is everything you need in the village, including a supermarket, a handful of shops, restaurants and a bar. The Combelouviere chair lift is just 50m from the centre which takes skiers up to Valmorel 1800 via the Charmettes and Montolivet lifts. Beginners will learn the basics in the Combelouviere area. Intermediate and advanced skiers can make the most of the 150km in the Valmorel circuit. There is a choice of a green or blue run which leads all the way back to the terrace of the Eau Rousse. Alternatively, coach groups can take the 30 minute drive to Valmorel and start the day from the main village.
