A meticulously kept ski area with a superb lift system and powerful snow-making. An ideal choice for schools preferring to take the snowcoach option.
Andalo has a medium-sized ski area of superb quality, and we rate it higher than many household-name resorts costing considerably more. There is fantastic variety, the lift system is first class and the snowmaking ranks with the best in the Dolomites. There's plenty for beginners, and keen intermediates should be able to manage virtually the whole system before the end of the week. That gives a tremendous sense of achievement!
In addition, because it's so self-contained, supervision is easy. Beginners have excellent nursery areas both in the village and at the mid station, where the snow is always good, but for developing skiers, this area really comes into its own with lots of exciting reds and blues. Our school groups stay in Molveno, an attractive and well-equipped village with lots of character and a spectacular setting overlooking a valley and lake.
