Mt Rose is a gem
in the northern Sierra Nevada
Range. It rises only a few miles
northeast of Lake Tahoe. It is
the 2nd highest mountain in
the Lake Tahoe Basin and the
highest Tahoe Basin peak in
Nevada, standing over 6300
feet above downtown Reno.
From Tahoe's Highest Base,
you're launched nearly 1,800
vertical feet in 3.5 minutes.
The reward is panoramic views
of Lake Tahoe and Nevada.
The real payoff begins as you
descend into 1,200 acres of some of the Sierra's best powder. The area is noted for excellent snow quality,
great views, sunshine, excellent lifts and fun activities. There is a great choice of terrain from strong
intermediate with some excellent beginner runs making it a great choice for school groups.
