Brighton Utah

They say it's the “Greatest snow on Earth” and with over an average of 500 inches of snow a year, even their terrific snowmaking is almost redundant!
Long renowned as the locals' best kept secret, Brighton is one of the oldest ski resorts in North America (est. 1936) and is consistently voted the number one ski and snowboard resort by the population of Utah. It's the place that the locals go to learn to ski and board, and it's only 30 minutes from Salt Lake City.

Snowing in deep snow Located at the top of the Big Cottonwood Canyon, Brighton sits in a huge bowl with over 800 acres of skiable terrain on the mountainside above. There are over 66 runs served by 7 modern lifts. The majority of the skiing is on tree-lined green, blue and intermediate runs and it really is an excellent choice for school groups. There are wide, gentle slopes for beginners and with most of the runs having a number of harder options to get you back down, progression is good. Experts should head towards the East of the resort where they'll find 9 double black diamond runs from the top of the mountain all served by a swift 4 man chair. Go there if you dare! Brighton is also a big snowboarders resort and has an official 'Burton Learn-to-Ride Method Centre'. Our hotels are in Salt Lake City, one of the most fabulous ski destinations in North America. There's all the Olympic attractions, huge shopping districts, great restaurants, ice skating, museums, the brand new Clark Planetarium and the Utah Jazz basketball team. Our groups will be looked after by Liliana and her team at UTC - our local Utah experts!
